Join the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) as an Agency Attorney III and contribute to advancing the strategies that protect and strengthen the agency’s mission.
The Tort Division is expanding its claims resolution efforts by building a specialized, high-impact settlement unit. In this role, the selected candidate will support the efficient and cost-effective resolution of claims and legal actions while promoting fair outcomes for NYCHA and the residents it serves. Working collaboratively with internal teams, outside counsel, investigators, and NYCHA leadership, the attorney will help develop informed strategies for evaluating and resolving claims. This position offers a dynamic litigation environment, meaningful public-sector legal work, hands-on negotiation experience, and the opportunity to influence claim resolution practices across NYCHA citywide.
