Job Description
The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a broad network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and create opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to thrive.
DYCD supports youth and community services through contracts with community-based organizations across New York City. The agency administers City, State, and Federal funds to support innovative, effective, and high-quality programs that positively impact youth, families, and communities.
DYCD is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Financial Management Division.
Under the supervision of the Deputy Director, the Financial Analyst will be a highly motivated, results-driven professional with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. The Analyst will support and manage assigned program portfolios and perform duties that include, but are not limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, manage, and maintain portfolio spending plans, including budget modifications, Financial Plan updates, and expenditure reporting.
Monitor and analyze programmatic and administrative spending to ensure fiscal compliance and effective use of funds.
Provide oversight and technical assistance to program staff related to budgeting, funding allocations, and financial planning.
Track, reconcile, and report on the status of direct service contracts and budgets.
Coordinate with internal units such as Information Technology, Accounts Payable, and the Agency Chief Contracting Office
