Job Description

The Mayor’s Office of Contract Services (MOCS) is a New York City oversight and service agency responsible for managing the City’s procurement process—from planning and issuing agency solicitations to vendor payments. Each year, City agencies procure billions of dollars in goods and services from a diverse vendor community across multiple industries. MOCS works to ensure that this procurement process is fair, transparent, efficient, and cost-effective. MOCS streamlines doing business with the City through end-to-end procurement technology, promotes transparency through public data and hearings, and strengthens procurement operations by providing direct assistance and resources to agencies and vendors. The office also collaborates with stakeholders to identify policy reforms that reduce administrative burdens and improve service delivery to communities citywide. The MOCS Director serves as the City’s Chief Procurement Officer. MOCS team members work in a collaborative, service-oriented environment where flexibility, accountability, and results are highly valued. Senior Analysts perform all analyst-level duties within their assigned division while demonstrating advanced subject-matter expertise. They take on increased responsibility, provide guidance and training to analysts, and support continuous improvement initiatives. All analysts are expected to produce timely, high-quality work, leverage modern technology tools, deepen their understanding of procurement and government operations, and collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders. MOCS is seeking a Senior Analyst with project management experience to support the City’s nonprofit initiatives. Reporting to the Associate Director, the Senior Analyst will work closely with internal teams, City agencies, nonprofit organizations, and other external partners. This role requires collaboration across MOCS divisions to implement projects, analyze operational data, and provide ongoing support to analysts and consultants.
